How do we make them?

The construction of our floating Oak shelves in our workshop begins with selecting the Oak pieces looking for a good colour match and grain. We then professionally join together adding strength and to achieve the desired depth for the shelf including making sure there are no open knots.

Sanding

Each floating Oak shelf goes through three stages of sanding starting through the sanding levelling machine on a medium and a fine sanding pass which the thickness is set too. Lastly we fully hand finish each shelf and soften the corners and edges carefully checking for a well finished shelf.

Drilling of the holes

We have made our own custom machine for carrying out the drilling on the rear of each shelf ensuring that the bracket when installed is perfectly straight and square making a perfect fit for when the shelf is installed

Wax oiling

This is the last part of the creation process in where we fully clean down and inspect each shelf before applying the

Chosen colour which is worked into the grain and the excess removed and allowed to cure

Boards & Shelves

We aim to dispatch our boards and shelving within 7 days but in busy periods this can be up to 2 weeks, if you have any questions please contact us.

Furniture

Being handmade has a 3-4 week dispatch time.

We source all of our Oak from sawmills across Europe which meet our standards for quality and sustainability

We accept returns within 14 days of receiving delivery for standard items on our website. Please send us an email to start the returns process. Returns are organised and paid for by the customer and any shipping charge is none refundable. Returns will not be accepted where an item has been used or installed.
