Our solid oak window sill boards are made to order in our workshop using premium kiln-dried European oak. Each sill is crafted from full-length solid oak staves, carefully joined for strength and stability, then machined and hand finished to enhance the natural grain and warmth of real solid wood.

What Is the Difference Between a Window Sill and Window Board?

The terms window sill and window board are often used interchangeably. Traditionally, a window sill refers to the internal ledge at the base of a window, while a window board describes the finished timber piece forming that surface. Our solid oak pieces are designed to function beautifully as both.

Choosing Between 25mm and 30mm Thickness

We offer two popular thickness options:

• 25mm → Sleeker, lighter visual profile
• 30mm → More substantial, chunkier appearance

• Square Edge → Clean modern lines with a softened front edge
• Waney Edge → Natural organic character edge
• Pencil Edge → Soft subtle rounding to the top front edge
• Bullnose Edge → Fully rounded traditional style front edge
